I weighed myself and realized I’d lost 3 kilos this summer. I’m not eating less. But I am outdoors more. Moving around more (instead of sitting still by a desk). Walking. Cycling. And I’m doing lots of physical work in my garden and on my house. But, I’m not excercising. Just active. But also relaxing and feeling unstressed because I connect with nature – birds, deer, earth, trees, wasps, sea, sky, etc.
Now contrast this kind of life with conventional city life. Not much “natural” physical activity for the body. Lots of offices. Lots of apartments. Lots of concrete. Restaurants, bar and cafés to hang out at. And expensive gyms to burn off the calories. And even more expensive yoga halls for mindfullness.
