Today I have switched bank.
My new bank is called Roslagens Sparbank and is a local bank that was started 1859 in the region where I live. 40,000 customers today, not more. Owned by a foundation and profits are reinvested in the company and in activities that develop the people and enterprises in the region. The company is also certified as climate neutral – the first bank in Sweden to achieve this.
On top of this they were voted "Bank of the Year" 2008 in Sweden.
How did I become their client? I researched for alternative banks, found them, wrote an email, got a call the next day (yesterday) and received a visit this morning. Pretty impressive response I'd say.
