Conscious choice to be made

I’m editing the Swedish translation of the book "Getting to Scale" by Jill Bamburg to be published by Bookhouse Publishing. It’s a thoughtful book about mission-driven business. I’ve really learned a lot from it.

A practical issue in the publishing process is to make a conscious social and ecological choice about printing. What kind of paper? Where to print? Printing techniques? Transportation issues? These are only a few of the questions.

With regard to the book’s content it has dawned on me that the publishing process has to be in line with the message. So tomorrow I cast off into the unknown, exploring our options. My guess is I’ll be surprised – in a positive way. And my hope is that whatever solution I dig up can be set as a standard for all the titles we publish.
