I'm on a ski vacation with the family in Sälen, Sweden. Lots of snow and not at all crowded. My focus is quite naturally on enjoying the skiing and family time. Still, it is impossible to turn off the scanning around for clues about the new world of work.
Just consider this: is it not truely amazing that I can connect on a wifi at a restaurant on a ski slope and post this!? Is it not amazing that I can keep my Twittering going and keep my email inbox in check? Because, to be truthful, this is not one of those vacations when I can completely turn off work. I have to keep som processes going – and the technology enables me to do so.
In the old world of work I would have had to cancel my trip. That is the dire truth.
