Yesterday evening I got a visit from the last century. A Time Magazine special issue from Oct 27, 1997 surfaced while I was looking for some boring form from the tax authority. In ten days the piece will be ten years old. The title is "Our Precious Planet – Why saving the environment will be the next century’s biggest challenge"
And the spooky part is that it could all be written today. I wonder if anyone had noticed if it were run today. Sure, fashion and design trends have changed. So pictures and ads would tip you off. But the content is as valid today as then. Maybe even more. Good on Time for being so thoughtful then.
Is this proof that nothing has changed in ten years…? I would like to say no. But… Hmmm…
